R. Moore & Sons when Roland Moore bought his first Ryan hand turf cutter.
In 1968 Malcolm, Rolands eldest son, left school and started work with his father. The
following year Graham, Rolands second son, joined them.
In 1978 R.Moore & Sons moved to Callington Court Farm, Brenzett. Not long after in
1982 Graham left to start a successful building company and Malcolm took over the
turf business.
Over the years we have supplied turf to various sports grounds and holiday parks
across the south east. In 1977 we supplied the turf for the Queens Jubilee Gardens in
London and later on the Houses of Parliament (pictured top right) and Royal Parks.
Having seen a gap in the market for good quality topsoil, Malcolm invested in a Power-
screen soil screener to grade topsoil on site. With the addition of a second storage shed
we now have the capacity to store almost 10,000 cubic metres of soil in dry conditions
to enable us to supply dry soil throughout the year, a big advantage with british weather!
We have recently invested in an Extec concrete crusher to produce our own recycled
concrete and aggregates for use in the building and landscaping industry.
After 45 years of business, we pride ourselves on our customer care with prompt and
reliable service
